Theft on the streets has become a problem in recent years. Many people show their possessions in view which will temp thieves to take them.

We visited the streets of Hackney where we saw people, adults as well as young people, with their phones, purses and valuables out in full view. They all had possessions of various prices from a fairly cheap and simple Nokia to an expensive blackberry.

People's possessions are generally safe but we could always do more to keep our possessions safe as well as ourselves.

Young children should always follow friends and should not go through different routes that they do not know
