How do the people of Hackney respond to the question 'What does the word Muslim mean to you?' |

'With caution', is the answer. People don't seem to want to talk about the issue for fear of being branded somehow intolerant. |

The Media is full of reports about anti-Muslim feeling in the country, but does it exist in a culturally diverse borough such as Hackney, where people of all races, ethnicities and religions live (on the whole) harmoniously side by side. |

When I think of a Muslim person I think of somebody who is religious; somebody who prays many times a day; somebody who might have made Hajj.
