Why do women get paid less than men in most sports? |

Women play as hard, train as hard and commit themselves no less than the men, but still, they don't get the financial rewards. |

When I first started out we weren't paid. It was only the last couple of years when I played for Arsenal that we closed the semi-pro contract. It was a reasonable amount of money but obviously not as much as the men earn.

If a woman wants to make a career for herself in professional sport then she must be prepared for little financial reward. |

If anyone had the chance to be paid as much as the men then it would be a great opportunity for women.
