This video report is all about missing teenagers. They all have one thing in common, they are all missing from home. More than 100,000 teenagers go missing every year. This means that every 4 minutes, a child is reported missing.

Our report interviews a helpline expert and includes the different reasons why teenagers under 16 might want to run away from home. It is important to listen to the opinions of teenagers, so our report shows what they think about this problem. We also talk about ways we can help teenagers and stop them from running away.

It's really important to create an environment where children and young people feel that they have someone that they can talk to in confidence about what's going on, before it gets to feeling like they have to run away.

The earlier somebody can talk to somebody, the better.
