Changes in Shops and Shopping
	The first supermarkets opened in the 1950s. Before then people did their shopping in smaller local shops like butchers, green grocers and bakeries. A lot of these smaller shops have had to close down since then because they can't compete with the big supermarkets. Now you can buy nearly everything in some supermarkets, from bananas to TVs.
