| Outline |
This project is a term-long course. It will require students to develop ethical analytical frameworks through exploring and debating a variety of ethical issues around genetics. Students working in collaborative groups will make videos and multimedia websites to communicate different ideas around cloning, GM food and animals, gene patenting, designer babies and behavioural genetics. Finally they will participate in a 'Court case' on gene patenting with experts to develop and deepen their understanding.
There is a scheme of work and resources for this project available in teacher resources.
The development of this project has been funded by the Wellcome Trust.
